PADI Deep Diver Course Requirements: Are You Ready to Go Deeper?
The PADI Deep Diver course requirements are simple, but they matter. Deep diving brings new challenges, so PADI asks for a minimum age and some previous experience before you train to dive below 30 metres.

Minimum Age: 15
The Deep Diver course is available from 15 years old. Younger divers can gain experience through the Advanced Open Water course first, which includes a Deep Adventure Dive within junior limits.
Required Certification
Most divers take Deep Diver after the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course (€310). The Deep Adventure Dive from Advanced can count as the first dive of the Deep Diver specialty, so you may need only three more dives.
Fitness and Medical
Deep diving places more demands on your body. You should be healthy, comfortable in the water and free from conditions that may increase risk at depth. Complete the diver medical questionnaire honestly, and get a doctor’s approval if required.
